This beautifully carved single dove is a tribute to our great nation and those that gave all to keep us free. With ribbons of red, white and blue flowing from her beak she is mounted on a partially shaped heart base with 5 stars. The dove has a flat back and is not fully carved and left unpainted to appreciate the beauty of the American chestnut wood. Lots of wood grain and worm holes visible through the crackle paint finish. The ribbons are made from copper mesh.
