I can just hear this Mother Robin singing "Oh, Happy Day!" Peter has captured her in action as she's dancing over her precious nest of eggs. Hand carved from American chestnut with great detail. The woodgrain is beautiful! There are a few worm holes visible. Five little eggs are in the nest and Peter left the nest in a natural state and did not paint it to show the beauty of chestnut wood. You just have to smile when you see this carving!
